2017 is finally here and black power and excellence, just like fine wine, are getting better with time. Last night at the 2017 Golden Globes, Tracee Ellis Ross made history last night as the first Black actress to win Best Performance by an Actress in a TV series – Musical of Comedy in 30 years.

Other big named winners of color included Donald “Childish Gambino” Glover, the film Moonlight for Best Drama and Viola Davis won Best Supporting Performance in a Motion Picture – Drama, Musical or Comedy for Fences.

So it is at no surprise that BET’s  new #YesToBlack camapign, which highlight’s new movies like The New Edition Story, and returning TV shows like Being Mary Jane, came when it did.

We are magic! We are excellence! We are the definition of joy! Say Yes to Black forever!
