Rappers Trina and Trick Daddy are starring on the cast of VH1’s newest Love & Hip Hop franchise premiering January 1st. Trina, known as the Diamond Princess and the Queen of Miami described working on the show with her friend Trick Daddy as an “unbelievable experience.”

“Me and Trick actually have an album coming out next year, a ‘T and T’ album, for Trick and Trina, so doing the show together was kind of second nature,” she explained via phone this month.

“We have the chemistry — he’s a little stubborn and I’m like bossy, controlling, so I push him a little more — I’m more active and I’m more in control so I kind of have like, the mean blade when it comes to stuff like that. The show shows us naturally, like if we were to hang out and get together — we always have that same type of energy. It was really fun.”

Trina’s excited about this round of her doing reality tv. Mona Scott reached out to her to head a Miami based reality show years ago which she turned down in favor of getting her own show, The Baddest Chick but it was never picked up by a network. This time around she’s getting the exposure she needs AND production plans for the franchise waited for her. In her interview she did give a few hints at what to expect on her debut season of Love & Hip Hop.

“The music is of course there, and then personally you’ll see my cousin and some of my family, the great stuff I do with the community — so it’s like work and personal, some one-on-one time, some deals I have on the table,” Trina shared. “There’s a lot of different stuff that doesn’t pertain to music, and you’ll just have to stay tuned and watch to see what that is!”

“There’s definitely feuds. You’re going to have to tune in. I didn’t really have problems with anyone, but I definitely have some intense, intimate crazy moments and definitely give side-eye to a few of the cast members.”
