Trey Songz, Congress Heights Day Festival & New ‘Singers Spotlight’ Series May 12-15 in DC

This weekend Trey Songz will be coming to town in time for Mother’s Day. Other events include the inaugural Singers Spotlight┬áseries with DC jazz singer Aaron Myers and this year’s Congress Heights Day Festival among others.

Congress Heights Day Festival
When: Saturday, May 13th, 2017
Location: Democracy Prep Public Charter School 3100 Martin Luther Ave SE Washington, DC 20020
The Annual Congress Heights Day Festival is a Community Parade, a Mini Carnival, a Health Fair, and Educational and Cultural Enrichment Activities all packed into a festive day! Due to inclement weather, the event will be indoors at Democracy Prep PCS.

Singers Spotlight at Jojo’s
When: Saturday, May 13th, 2017
Location: Jojo’s Restaurant & Bar 1518 U Street, Washington, DC 20009
Friday kicks off the inaugural Singers’ Spotlight series at Jojo’s Restaurant & Bar on U Street featuring DC jazz singer Aaron Myers. After seeing him perform you can catch more of Arron at Mr. Henry’s on Capital Hill in Washington, DC where he is the Resident Artist performing Friday nights 8-11pm and Minister of Music at Covenant Baptist United Church of Christ.

Trey Songz at Warner Theater for Mother’s Day
When: Sunday, May 14th, 2017

If you’ve been following the R&B hearthrob’s recent beef with Chris Brown that took off this weekend, this might be as good of a time as any to see him live on stage as you’ll be able to see his immediate reaction. He was kicked out of the venue of the last event he hosted in DC so you might be in for a little action as well. Either way, any mother would be appreciative of seeing a Trey Songz live for Mother’s Day.

Washington, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser’s 10 Year Anniversary Happy Hour
