Trans-Man Forced to Show Dildo in His Pants After being Accused of Stealing a Sausage

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA *pause* bahahahaha… ha. Now that we’ve got that out of the way, when I first came across this story, I felt bad for the victim. This person is accused of stealing a sausage in a Food Fair grocery store in Essex County, New Jersey in May. The person in question, Nautica Pagan, is a trans-man. For those who don’t know, a trans-man is a woman that has transitioned into a man. He entered the store to sell his phone to someone, but while there, security stopped him to ask what’s in his pants. He replied that what’s in his pants was private. (Lol. Good answer.) But the officer wasn’t having it. He put his foot down, blocking him from going out of the door and called a female cashier over to go to the restroom with Nautica to see what’s in his pants. He sat crying, humiliated as it all took place.

“I was asking God to please get me out of the supermarket as fast as possible, Nautica said.

“Never I’d say I faced any discrimination in my life, until this point.”

The security guard apologized as he left. Pagan is now suing the store claiming they did not have probable cause to detain him as a customer can only be detained under New Jersey law unless they have cause to believe you are stealing or witnessed you stealing.

The store manager says the incident wasn’t that bad and that Pagan stayed voluntarily despite her claims to the contrary.

“I felt horrible when [he] was telling me [he] was crying and everything but did we detain [him]? No. Did we force [him] to show us [his genitalia]? No. We basically told [him] we need to see what’s in your pants because [the prosthetic] was very exaggerated.”

He says it was an honest mistake and that salami is something frequently stolen by shoplifters because “it’s expensive and they sell it to little corner stores and stuff like that.” The store manager said no discrimination occurred and this would have happened despite the person’s gender.

Robyn Gigl, attorney and former Garden State Equality board member, said the case rests on whether Pagan consented to staying. “I think it’s a very fact sensitive case as to whether or not there was coercion, whether or not there was consent,” she said.

There are so many questions and so little time. For one, why did he go in a grocery store with no intentions of buying grocery? Why are you selling your phone in a grocery store? How do you get upset for intentionally planning suspicious behavior and getting called to the side about it? If you’re a trans-man, don’t you have a penis of your own? Don’t they do that in transition? So why the need to walk around with a great big dildo in your pocket? And if you must carry a dildo, why have one so ridiculous big? Can’t you put your dildo on at home? What’s the purpose of walking around with it? I can’t. #DisTewMurch
