Sheree Blindsided & Angry at ‘RHOA’ Producers for EXPOSING Her Relationship with Prison Inmate
Earlier this year, reports surfaced stating that Real Housewives of Atlanta star Sheree Whitfield was engaged to a prison inmate but when Andy Cohen asked her about the man, Sheree denied the allegations:
Then in August, photos surfaced featuring Sheree embracing the man, who was revealed to be Tyrone L. Gilliams, a former Penn basketball player who was sentenced to 10 years in prison for wire fraud schemes where he stole $5 million.
The Ivy Leaguer was arrested in October 2011, and was ordered to pay $5 million back to his accusers and forfeit five million more:
During the trailer for the RHOA Season 10 earlier this week, the relationship between the couple was shown and after Sheree accepted the phone call, the woman began to gossip about it and Sheree is NOT HAPPY.
A source spoke with theJasmineBRAND and stated:
“Sheree feels blindsided over the discussion of the particulars of her romance with prisoner Tyrone Gilliams. She has known Tyrone for decades and knew that Nene Leakes had knowledge of Tyrone and his criminal past. However, the discussions between the cast and inclusion of it as part of the show caught her by surprise.”
The source went on to add:
“When cast members Kandi Burruss and Nene Leakes approached her about the rumors, she got defensive because she wasn’t comfortable going on record talking about their relationship. Sheree is skeptical because she doesn’t want the push back that former RHOA star Phaedra Parks got for being romantically linked to a felon. Additionally, in the trailer they edited audio of the federal correctional facility greeting over footage of her taking a phone call making her feel like the producers have some back door plot to exploit her relationship for ratings.”
We’ll see how it all unfolds when The Real Housewives of Atlanta kicks off on November 5, 2017 at 8 EST/7 CST on Bravo.
