Rapper Mystikal Wanted for First Degree Rape
According to a report from New Orleans, Shreveport Police are looking for rapper Mystikal, whose real name is Michael Tyler, in connection with an alleged sexual assault that took place October 22, 2016:
“Warrants were secured for Mystikal and Averweone Holman for one count each of First Degree Rape. Bond was set at $2 million each.”
Mystikal pleaded guilty to sexual battery and extortion charges in 2003, and served in prison until January 2010. He also pleaded guilty to two federal misdemeanor counts of failing to file tax returns on a total of $1.7 million he earned in 1998 and 1999.
A native of New Orleans, the 46-year-old rapper has released a total of 6 studio albums, each receiving a Gold or Platinum certification. His first album, 1994’s Mystikal is his only record un-certified as it was released independently.
Mystikal is best known for his singles Shake Ya A** and Danger, both which were from his fourth studio album, Let’s Get Ready, released in 2000.
