Katy Perry on finding out who J.J. was: “I went straight to Google. I’ve been showing it to my friends, saying, ‘Check out this guy. I’m gonna be shootin’ with this guy.’

That picture was real … interesting. I mean, he looks so nice now in person! I don’t even recognize him.”

Katy Perry on the Super Bowl: “Honestly? I feel like I’ve outdreamt my dream. I don’t get nervous about much, but I’ll definitely be a little tingly inside that day.

JJ on learning dance moves from Justin Timberlake: “I was with Justin Timberlake, and he taught me an end zone dance. I said, ‘Hey, you’re obviously a very good dancer. Could you design me a touchdown dance so I don’t look like a fool?’ And he said, ‘Yeah, no problem.’ So I need to get back in the end zone so I can give Justin his tribute.”

J. Cole is featured on another cover for the music issue alongside NASCAR’s Dale Earnhardt, Jr, where Cole spoke about how similar NASCAR and hip hop are by stating:

“NASCAR represents working-class people. It gives them something to tune in to every week and dream about. It’s not a bougie sport by any means. It’s not a rich sport by any means. [Rap] culture has a lot in common with this culture and doesn’t know it. And this culture doesn’t know it either. It could change the world if they were to ever merge and really become friends.”
