The Jackson family patriarch Joe Jackson wrote a cryptic tweet yesterday afternoon about the few number of sunsets he has left and being ready when the time comes. It sounded like he was coming to terms with the fact that he was dying, especially after TMZ reported he had been hospitalized recently. Their report stated he was terminally ill in the advanced, untreatable stages of cancer. The only problem is his granddaughter Paris Jackson said he didn’t write the tweet and accused whoever runs his Twitter account of taking advantage of him through sensationalized tweets.

Jermaine Jackson did an interview with the Daily Mail that resulted in headlines where he was quoted as saying his father was dying, which he says is not true. “On the new story re: Joe comes to the welfare of this family, but a journalist called me with information he clearly already had about my father. I confirmed certain details but “revealed” nothing. My father’s health is not good, but “dying” is a harsh word chosen by headline writers, not me. For however long he has left, my mother, siblings, and relatives want to be with him, without hindrance.”

TMZ seems to be contradicting Jermaine’s claim about his father’s health not being as dire as he claims as they’ve stated family members have been visiting the family patriarch at his bedside and doctors have spoken to the family as well. It does make sense though. No one wants to admit to or even think of the worse when it comes to an ailing family member. You generally try to remain positive and keep those negative thoughts at bay. The tweet that was sent from Joe Jackson’s twitter account was probably sent by a social media manager overstepping their bounds in sharing the state of Joe’s health. Whatever the case is, we’re hoping for the best for ol’ Joe.
