Nicki Minaj Mocks Mentally Ill Woman, Gets Called Out By Mental Health Group

Looks like Nicki Minaj has landed herself in some VERY hot water. The rapper and singer has come under fire for mocking mental illness.

Nicki shared a video of herself laughing at a mentally ill woman shouting on the sidewalk and people are NOT happy about it.

The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI-Miami) has condemned the platinum selling artist for mocking the woman stating that Nicki used her fame to influence young people in a negative manner. A rep later adds:

“Nobody would make fun of a cancer patient, and mental illness is an illness like any other.”

In Nicki’s defense, I’m sure she wasn’t aware of the woman’s illness, and she didn’t actually say anything harmful back to her.

Either way, this isn’t good.

A similar situation took place last year after Halloween, when a video of Nicki commanding a wheelchair based person to walk surfaced.

The person turned out to be a friend of Nicki’s, who was not disabled and was simply used the hoverround for fun.
