Actor Michael B. Jordan has always had a legion of women…and men, who have found him completely attractive, but after his role as Killmonger in the hit Marvel film Black Panther, the 31-year-old actor’s sex appeal has went up a few levels and we aren’t complaining at all.

Just in time for summer, Michael covers the June 2018 issue of Essence magazine, where he shows off his amazing six pack abs as he promotes his upcoming HBO film, Fahrenheit 451.

Inside his cover story titled Up Close and Personal with Our Fave Bae, Michael speaks out about using his platform to further diversity in Hollywood and empower women with his new company, Outlier Society Productions:

Actions speak louder than words. I want to lead by example. It’s important to have diversity both in front of and behind the camera, and inclusion riders make sure that anyone who does business with my company knows that we expect there to be people of color, women, LGBT folks, and people with disabilities in key positions on our crews and productions staffs.

He added:

I’m raised by strong women. Since the majority of people in power are men, when we speak up it gives them firmer ground to stand on when we support them. I’m not the poster boy for it; I’m not the guy who’s trying to get in every cause, but at the same time when they call me for help, I’m there…I’m going to be there to support them.

Fahrenheit 51 is based on the book of the same name by Ray Bradbury and is about a future where books are outlawed and “firemen” burn any that are found, until one of them (played by Michael) meets another person who makes him challenge his actions and convictions.

For more be sure to pick up your issue of Essence when it hits newsstands on Friday, May 25.
