LeToya Luckett & Lady Gaga To Star In Upcoming Dionne Warwick Biopic

Former Destiny’s Child member LeToya Luckett has been announced to play music legend Dionne Warwick in an upcoming biopic.

The film, which currently has no official release date at this time, is titled Dionne, and will also star Lady Gaga as Cilla Black, the singer’s “musical nemesis” and Olympia Dukakis will star as actress Marlene Dietrich, who was Dionne‘s mentor at the start of her career. The film will also star veteran actor Danny Glover as Dionne’s father, Mansel Warwick.

AMBI Pictures, the L.A.-based production outfit set up by Italian producer Andrea Iervolino and Bacardi drinks heiress Monika Bacardi, will produce the film and handle international sales, shopping the project to buyers here in Cannes.

Dionne Warwick is one of the most successful recording artists of all time, as she is the second most-charted female vocalist of all time on the Billboard Hot 100 Pop Singles Charts, behind only Aretha Franklin, with 69 charted singles between 1962 and 1998.
