Jay Z Finally Releases ‘Family Feud’ Video to YouTube (Watch Now)

By Teonny Spears / Published on Friday, 05 Jan 2018 13:10 PM / No Comments

Just one week after premiering the video on Tidal, Jay Z has finally given non-Tidal subscribed fans a chance to see his latest music video, Family Feud.

Written by Jay Z alongside Dion Wilson, Beyoncé Knowles and Elbernita Clark, the song is about the separation in the hip-hop culture and community.

Hov is witnessing new rappers disrespecting their old heads, while old school artists and fans misunderstand the new generations. Family Feud stands as Jay’s call for all rappers and fans to put aside their differences and come together for the good of the culture.

Despite receiving praise from fans and publications, the video has received backlash from the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights calling it a bigoted assault, as well as “exploitative, just the kind of thing we would expect from this genius couple.”

Featuring an all star cast of Michael B. Jordan, Constance Wu, Rashida Jones, Rosario Dawson, and Trevonte Rhodes, the Ava DuVernay-directed visual serves as a short film. Take a look at the video below:
