Empire star Morocco Omari, who plays officer Tariq Cousins, An FBI Agent, who is also Lucious‘ (Terrence Howard) half-brother, has been arrested for allegedly brutalizing a woman.

A currently unnamed 24-year-old woman called 911 in Chicago yesterday evening claiming that she and the actor were in an argument, where he also pushed her down several times.

The young woman states that she has scratches to her neck and chest.

Cops arrived on scene at around 2:30 PM, apparently observed the injuries and arrested Omari for misdemeanor domestic battery.

It is NOT surprising to me, as Morocco looks like someone who takes advantage of women, and has no remorse for it. While I’m sure that he won’t be fired from the show, I really hope the young lady gets the justice that she deserves.

After guest starring on the show in season 2, Morocco joined the main cast of Empire for its current third season.
