Drake just released the video to his hit single In My Feelings currently on top of the Hot 100 holding the Number One spot for three weeks. Filled with cameos it pays homage to Shiggy’s viral dance craze created around the song. It was such a hit dance that local governments around the country had to make reminders that the dance was illegal if they were caught doing it. (Getting out of your car dancing while it’s moving can actually be deadly.. or at the least be dangerous.)

Anyway, a number of celebrities were in the video from Lala Anthony, Phylicia Rashad, Will Smith, Ciara, DJ Khaled and plenty others. Only someone of Drake’s calibur could pull off such a task. Starting off with Drake pulling up to his girlfriend’s house in an Escalade throwing a rock at her window to talk in the middle of the night in Romeo & Juliet type fashion, his girl Lala comes to the window. Moments later her mother, Phylicia Rashad appears telling him “I want you to get your jordan’s off my walkway sir. You’re a grown ass man.. getcha ass on.” Drake asked “what do you want me to do” with her responding “I want you to leave, and make sure you don’t forget to go when ya leave.” And of course it was all done with the beautiful smile on her face she’s known for following up saying “the whole neighborhood heard me so I know you had to have heard me.”

Featured in the video was a Hollygrove mural of Lil Wayne, there was dancing on the “N’awlins” trolly which if you don’t know, that’s how it’s supposed to be pronounced down there. Not New Orleans but N’awlins. Drake even had a grill in his mouth which didn’t look bad at all. I could much more see him sporting a grill in 2018 vs 2007 when he was too busy competing with Trey Songz on who could cry more in their music. It was altogether a fun video fashioned in his recent uncanny ability to go viral with everything he does these days but there was just one portion that was unforgivable and that was the shirtless shot of DJ Khaled doing the In My Feelings signature dance. I believe I speak for everyone when I say that we all could have done without that.
