Disney Channel to Remake ‘Hocus Pocus’ WITHOUT the Original Cast
For years, Disney’s Hocus Pocus has become an icon and cult classic during Halloween time, and no matter how old you are, you can’t help but to sit and watch it when it comes on.
If you’re anything like me, you own the movie on DVD and watch it whenever you want!
Moving on, for years, fans have been asking for a sequel to the film and stars Bette Midler and Sarah Jessica Parker have both stated that they would love to do a sequel but it looks like Disney had other plans.
Deadline reports that Disney Channel is currently prepping to remake the film as a TV movie but sadly NONE OF THE ORIGINAL CAST WILL BE A PART OF IT.
The new take is being written by Scarlett Lacey (The Royals), with David Kirschner, producer on the original movie, on board to executive produce.
It’s a sad situation for fans like myself, and it perfectly goes with the saying, “If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it.”
Hopefully with enough outcries, Disney will see their mistake and try to get the original cast invovled.
Are you on board for a Hocus Pocus remake or would you rather see a sequel with Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy back as the Sanderson sisters?
