Coldplay Front Man Chris Martin Talks Wanting To Work On Rihanna’s New Album

Before collaborating on one of my favorite songs in 2011, Princess of China, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin expressed a fascination with Rihanna.

That fascination doesn’t seem to have left yet, because during a recent interview with New York’s Fresh 102.7, the singer-songwriter stated that he has been in the studio working on new material for her highly anticipated 8th studio album, which is currently rumored to be getting released later on this year. By stating:

” I don’t think she even asked, I just said, ‘please can I try something?’ She has so many amazing people writing for her. It’s like trying to win ‘American Idol,’ getting a song on Rihanna’s album. It’s hard. Everybody wants to write songs for her.”
