After what seems like the longest year ever, Chris Brown has officially released his seventh studio album, Royalty today, and as a fan for the past 10 years, I couldn’t be more happy and excited!

To help celebrate the album’s release, Breezy covers the 71st issue of UK magazine Notion. He also serves as the first global superstar to grace the inaugural issue. When speaking about Breezy and the issue the magazine stated:

Chris Brown Notion Magazine

“The most controversial star of his generation, Chris Brown is no stranger to the limelight. In NOTION #71 we chat to him about his beginnings, his new album and his past mistakes, in hopes of getting to know the man behind the headlines. Brown doesn’t hold back, spilling his deepest thoughts on a life firmly in the public eye and how becoming a father has changed him and his music.”

Along with the interview, Chris also poses for a double entendre photoshoot with photographer Millicent Haile, as he gazes into the camera and makes a few moves while wearing all white, and hoodies with “Coke” on it. There is even a photo where Chris shows off his abs, which are covered in flour. You get the picture. Take a look at what Chris had to say below, and then take a look at the photoshoot afterwards:

On being a father: “I love being a father, you know, and at the same time, there were certain wrongs and certain rights that I did do. I might’ve hurt some people along the way.”

On his mistakes: “People make mistakes, I’ve made mistakes. I’ve judged people who made mistakes, and they judge me back. The best part about it is me having to learn. It was a great lesson for me to learn. I thank God he had something bigger for me to do.”

On wanting to be a role model: “Right now I just want to inspire the world, because, with everything I went through, I kept my head up. And even for the people that turn their back against you as the outcast or the underdog..I love that.”

On his music: “Because it just makes me better when I earn my music and I earn awards and I earn my dancing and I earn being able to direct on my own videos. I feel like, that’s the only thing that man hasn’t given me and that’s the only thing that they can’t take away.”

On fame: “I mean fame isn’t acquired by the amount of people who like you. Fame is acquired by the amount of people’s lives you’ve changed. So at the end of the day I can’t say that my music is that deep right now, I can’t physically change the world. But I made a positive step you know?”
