Chance the Rapper’s turning 25 in 4 days and will be celebrating his birthday at a party held at Chicago’s Liqr Box on the 21st. While all of his fans can’t attend, the 7,500 square foot event space is more than enough to have a good time. Tickets range from $125 going all the way up to $10,000. And as one could expect from the ever charitable Chance, all proceeds will be going towards his SocialWorks charity. Last year he brought in over $100,000 celebrating his birthday the same way. Now in the event you’re unable to make it, donations are still being accepted to his nonprofit to help celebrate.

If you’re wondering where your money would be going to, SocialWorks is a nonprofit by one of the most charitable and prolific modern artists of our time. While he likely doesn’t donate nearly as much money as other artists but he’s incorporated his social activism into what he does, constantly looking after his hometown. So the next time you hear someone ask what are black people doing about Chicago, make sure you point to him. The work that the group specializes in is empowering youth through the arts, education, and civic engagement while fostering leadership, accessibility, and positivity within the youth across Chicago. Just this past December he partnered with Lyft allowing people to round up their fare and donate the remainder to the Chicago Public School System. These are efforts that need support from the community so if you’re able to donate, we encourage you to do so.
