CALL CASTING: Migos Earns Their First Platinum Album with ‘Culture’

I have some wonderful news to share with all of you Migos fans! After 4 years in the industry, the trap group form Atlanta has earned their FIRST platinum album with Culture!

The RIAA certified the album as platinum with equivalent units of 1 million, which includes both physical and digital sales, as well as overall streams on multiple platforms.

Released on January 27, 2017, by Quality Control Music, 300 Entertainment and Atlantic Records, Culture debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart with 131,000 album-equivalent units in its first week (44,000 of which were pure album sales).

Thanks to the success of the album’s lead single Bad and Boujee, which went to #1 on the Hot 100, the album stayed within the Top 40 since its release.

I must admit, I really wasn’t into Migos, but after the release of Bad and Boujee, I became very intrigued with the group, most specifically Quavo, who I consider as the group’s star. He has style and charisma and even when he’s with Offset and Takeoff, all eyes are on him and he commands the stage.
