BREAKING: Betty Shelby Charged With Manslaughter For Death of Terence Crutcher
It has just been reported that Betty Shelby, the Tulsa Police Department officer who shot and killed Terence Crutcher, is being charged with first-degree manslaughter. District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler announced the charge Thursday afternoon, with a warrant being issued for her arrest.
Arrangements have also been made with Shelby‘s attorney for her surrender.
Terence Crutcher was unarmed when Shelby shot him on September 16, and three days after the shooting, the Tulsa Police Department released 911 audio, dash cam videos and a police helicopter video of the incident. Chuck Jordan, Tulsa’s chief of police, described the footage as “very disturbing and difficult to watch.”
