Cardi B’s released a new album, Nicki Minaj has followed suit and now once again, dropped as a surprise on the middle of a Saturday afternoon comes another surprise project from Beyonce. After over a decade of duets and features on each other’s projects, Beyonce finally became comfortable enough to do a full album with her husband Jay-Z. After all, it’s only fair after she spent her last album Lemonade bashing him talking about his cheating ways. And after he did interviews admitting to cheating, what better way to make bygones be bygones than a project together to show the world everything a-okay? One thing’s for sure, as we stated before, Jay wasted no time getting in shape for the promo images as they shared nudes of each other in bed with Beyonce covering her husband’s breasts, (not chest but breasts.) I wonder what he does when his wife is out working out. Has it never occurred to him that maybe he should join her.. just once?

Thew new project, titled Everything is Love is out now on Tidal. This is the music streaming service owned by both Jay-Z and Beyonce that has recently had calls for investigation into fraudulent streaming numbers created to raise royalty payments for artists Beyonce, Jay-Z and Kanye West, thus lowering payments for other artists releasing music on Tidal. Reports of this fraudulent behavior first came to light in May. We’ll update you on any progress in that matter.

But back to the music. Bey and Jay managed to get to the Louvre museum in Paris to shoot a music video without anyone knowing about it last month. The video is for the feature track APESHIT which is completely appropriate as Jay has been looking quite disheveled lately with his weight gain and hair. And FYI – I’m black so I can say Jay-Z looks like an ape and get away with it so F*ck You to whoever gets offended by that statement. While in the Louvre, the couple are seen standing in front of da Vinci’s Mona Lisa and the Winged Victory of Samothrace” sculpture. Speaking of wings, Jay, you’ve had just a couple too many. You might want to go ahead and back up from the table, sir… lest you plan on embracing gender fluidity with those moobs (man breasts) you’ve got going on there, buddy. The music video was shot by Ricky Saiz, the same director behind Beyonce’s Yonce video. I’d have a joke for that but he’s good. (Note to self: Will try again later.)

At the end of her show in London today she announced she had “something special” for fans and “ALBUM OUT NOW” appeared in big letters across the jumbotron. “We want you guys to be the first to experience this new project,” she said. The video to APESHIT played next. And as for the remainder of the album, one interesting tidbit is how in the track NICE she says her success “can’t be quantified.” “If I gave two fucks – two fucks about streaming numbers,” BeyoncĂ© continues. “Would have put Lemonade up on Spotify.” So either she in fact does NOT care about streaming numbers or feels she can do whatever TF she wants (including faking numbers because she can) unchecked… except for that time NeYo checked her for saying she wrote the lyrics to Irreplaceable when in fact he did. Also, might I add that NeYo’s checked Beyonce and his career is still doing just fine so the notion that crossing on the bad side of Beyonce as some career ender just isn’t true.
