This year’s BET Awards have been quite lengthy one, and while things definitely slowed down after the performance of New Edition, things took a major turn when Remy Ma won the award for Best Female Hip Hop Artist.

As you are all aware, Remy is currently beefing with rapper Nicki Minaj and for the past 6 years, it’s been Nicki who has taken home the award for Best Hip Hop Artist, mainly because there was no actual competition for her besides Trina, who took a musical break.

When Remy took the stage to accept her award, she made sure to take a few jabs at Nicki, who chose NOT to attend the ceremony tonight:

Of coruse that did NOT sit right with the Nicki Minaj fans and they took to Twitter to voice their anger:

Honestly, I like Remy Ma but I do feel that Cardi B should have taken the award. She has had an amazing year and she’s still making moves as we speak.
